Nursing homes seek to normalize life, increase comfort levels, and keep bodies and minds as actively engaged as possible. While good medical and nursing care are very important, of equal importance is the provision of a supportive and caring environment, where individuals are respected and valued for who they are, and can carry on their lives in dignity. Country View Manor is known for its home-like setting and provides many individualized services and activities in addition to around the clock nursing care.
Our GOAL at County View is to provide the best possible life for our residents and to give them the best possible care that we can, utilizing all the means that we have at our disposal and the best that we have in us to give – – and to make Country View a home away from home for our residents.
We believe strongly in what nursing homes can do and are doing and we’re committed to the value of that work and its accomplishment. We can’t turn back the clock, reverse the aging process, restore all that has been lost, or replace the unique comfort of the of the “home” that was; however, we realize that life is a continuum and that we are a part of it and that every age and every stage has value and meaning. Our residents impact our lives with unforgettable beauty and heroic examples of courage, patience and grace.
Moving into a nursing home is a major event in a person’s life and may be a traumatic event for the family. Family members, as well as the resident, are involved in transition, change, and adjustment, and may suffer many conflicting emotions. Country View welcomes and encourages the involvement and support of family members. We invite families to join with us, in a team effort, during the transition to nursing home life, and after, to help surround their loved ones with a secure, comfortable, and caring environment. Families are vitally important to the resident’s well-being and are WELCOME at Country View Manor.
